Bryce Quirk 1st. Especially pleasing was his fast run of 31:30 in the hot conditions in a race no-one has been under 33:00 before.

Lisa Bryne - 'Just having fun' in 58 minutes.
Sam Flanders - 1:23:40 hr. After 3 years away from running Sam is back to her best.
Mark Aspinall - 2:47 hr. A 14 minute PB for Mark.
Paul Robertson - 3:51 hr. Paul was right on the money with his sub "4"

Inge Watson - 2k/8k/1k, 3rd (was robbed of victory by being directed the wrong way in the second transition)

Kathy Rundle - 10k 42:40 (PB). The 400m hurdler continues to improve!
Janet Miller - 2:08:13. A 'Run with Friends' fo rJanet whose pb is 25 minutes faster.
Norma Gonzales - 21.1k 1:50:16hr. While not a pb a good time on a winding course for Norma.
Josie Gioffre - 10k 1:00:12hr. Josie continues to improve.

Danny Krause - 39th 4k 15:35 (PB) A good run for a part-time runner/footballer just recovering from the flu.
Grace Thek - 2nd 4k. A good strong run
Pip Hodgett - 18th 4k. Started fast (too fast) but finished strongly. Very good result for a part time runner/netball

Nadelle Legge - 1st in the 45k in 3:15:31. A course record to add to her 23k course record from 2005.
Jane Ainsworth- 2:10 hr for the 23k. A great effort from someone who only began running seriously a few months ago.

Australian Triathlon Championships, 16th April, 2006
Byce Quirk - 3rd. While finishing behind the CG gold and silver medalists this was a very pleasing result for two reasons. Firstly he ran slightly faster than in his 2005 title winning race. Secondly Bryce, who was next in line for selection for the CG's after Greg Bennett's withdrawal, defeated, among others, Simon Thompson, who was added to the team ahead of Bryce.

Sarah Grahame - 12th/12:13. Sarah and her team mates won the team Gold Medal.
Melbourne "Run For Kids" 14.9k Run, 9th April, 2006
Nadelle Legge - 5th/53:18 in a quality field despite training for 6 hours in preparation for the Japan Strongman on the 8th of April.
Samantha Flanders - 58:33 despite being placed in the middle of the field at the start.

Edward Kift - 3:26 hr. This was a 5 minute PB and Ed finished fresh enough to already thinking about the Sydney marathon!

Rebecca Reid - 13th. A great achievement by little Beeca who is in the intermediate catagory for the first time - racing girls 2 years older then herself. Capped off a fine season with a great result.

Dimity Gannon: (18-24/12:20 hr). A great effort in her second race because while Dimity joined EPS after qualifying in late 2005 she was unable to complete any ultra runs due to a long term ITB problem.

WORLD XC CHAMPIONSHIPS, Japan, April 1st 2006
Sarah Grahame - 77th in the junior women. Not her best race but also not helped by the coaches who reportedly put her at the back of the field on the starting line. Sarah is looking forward to this week's World Schools XC in Italy

The extremely hot conditions affected most run times, particularly those in the later waves.
